80. Gladly, Spain's president José Luis Rodríguez -mainly known by his second surname- showed a last minute restraint and backed off today from the announced indictement under leadership of investigating judge Baltasar Garzón of 6 former officials pertaining to the George W. Bush government... Said indictment would have hurt the special relationship between the USA and Spain which was brought to a higher level during the tenure of his predecessor José María Aznar...
Had Zapatero persisted in his misdeed we should have insisted in asking why he didn't indict dictator Fidel Castro at first place for having confiscated and even ordered the assassination of Spaniards who lived on the island where Guantanamo is just a geographical part of...

# 79, sobre el estado de la carretera central

79. A raíz de mi artículo sobre el deplorable estado de la carretera central a lo largo de casi 200 km entre el poblado de Chicrín en el departamento de Pasco y la ciudad de Tingo María en el departamento de Huánuco, miembros del MTC y ProVías me han mencionado que la esperada refacción está programada a partir de este abril.

A fines de diciembre y comienzos de marzo tuve que viajar nuevamente a Huánuco acompañando a hermanas que venían a pasar unos días en Perú. Deseo compartir enseguida algunas fotos que documentan mi reclamo.

President Obama has passed only a third of this period and he deserves also not be harshly criticized yet... He shall be advised though to put an extra effort not to appear as he were improvising... There are several signals about it... For example the bunch of questionable nominees, the dubious number of jobs to be created, a haste in putting an end to Gitmo without a sound exit strategy, an so on...

76. The visit of my youngest sister and enchanting nephews who happen to live in Canada since 2001 brought me to spend the last 4 weeks between Huánuco and a beautiful beach southern of Lima... Luckily I could find more time up yesterday afternoon to follow this years Presidential Inauguration...
First things first though, I want to express my gratitude to now Former President George W. Bush through an article I've already started to work on and -as stated today on my Facebook page- I wish President Barack H. Obama Junior all the best... After watching him on some of the official balls though, I warmely hope he can govern much better than he dances...
